Our Attorneys

Founding Attorney, LeAnn Bischoff (1966-2022)* LeAnn Bischoff was a University of California School of Law alumna (Boalt Hall ’92) who practiced law in California for over 25 years.  She was a Certified Family Law Specialist, and a co-chair of the Alameda County Family Law Association (“ACFLA”).  She had extensive experience in all aspects of family law, including divorce (80% of her practice), marital/premarital agreements, child custody, child support, spousal support, business valuation, forensic accounting, asset tracing, property characterization and division, and restraining orders. LeAnn resolved most marital dissolution cases without costly trials, since the vast majority of family law disputes can be managed via strong advocacy, either in mediation or via attorney-to-attorney negotiations.  When it was beneficial or necessary, however, she litigated, and she successfully handled hundreds of hearings and trials within the public and private court systems, primarily in and around Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

*LeAnn passed away unexpectedly in a skiing accident on February 19, 2022. Her practice is being closed this summer. Please send all inquiries to Allie@bischofflaw.net. Thank you.

Associate Attorney. Alexandra (“Allie”) Sevy Ray is a University of California School of Law alumna (Boalt Hall ’15) who joined the Firm in 2014.  She specialized in family law from the very outset of her career and has a real passion for it.  Allie is an expert at managing clients’ mandatory financial disclosures, discovery, and hearing-preparations, as well as a talented legal analyst, litigator and writer.  She provides wise, calm guidance and emotional support to clients suffering from divorce-related fear or anxiety, domestic violence and other issues, to an extent we believe is unmatched in the Bay Area. She and LeAnn worked closely together on larger cases, in a manner that kept costs low due to their well-functioning and longstanding teamwork.
